Wisc-R intelligence test

Calendar c1970 Map pin United Kingdom Dr Jennifer Crane

Small cubes, jigsaws and blocks have been used to categorise, labels, rank people by intelligence – a notion laden with class, racial, ethnic, and gender bias – for over 100 years with profound lived effects and inequalities. These test kits are now perhaps antiques but also implosions (Haraway, 1997) which can be teased open – ‘ad hoc archives’ (Patchett, 2017) that challenge whether intelligence even matters.
