A participatory artwork ‘happy birthdays’ by Bristol-based artist Ellie Shipman. Participants share feelings that are higher during and after birth: trauma, joy, love, pain. These feelings are shaped, too often, by structural discontinuation and inequalities. The piece encourages us to consider whether art can redress what it reveals?
